Die Cutting of a Neoprene Sponge Pads
A music equipment company approached Pacific States Felt & MFG. Co., Inc. to die cut 12,000 neoprene sponge pads. The pads, which were to be attached with acrylic Mylar adhesive to the bottoms of guitar effects pedals, were thru cut with a rotary die cutter. Each of the finished pads measured 4" long, 2" wide, and .0625" thick. We were able to hold tightest tolerances of ±.005" throughout the entire die cutting process.
Once we were sure that the pads were RoHS compliant, they were shipped to the client's Benicia, California location.
